Abstract

The authors describe a clinical case that was diagnosed as marantic endocarditis. The patient was a young military man with peritoneal carcinoma tosis. The authors discuss the case with a short historical revision of the disease, the etiologic process, patogenie and the signals and symptoms that ocurr more commonly and the therapeutic conduct. They say that we must suspect of the occurrence of marantic endocarditis if a neoplasic patient presents clinical manifestations that sugest thromboembolism.
