About the Journal

The Revista Brasileira de Cancerologia (RBC) is a quarterly, open access and free online scientific journal published by the National Cancer Institute (INCA). Since 2018, the RBC started to use social medias as a tool to disclose scientific information, creating its own profile on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with a straight and simple language for better understanding of the public in general and increase the impact of science in public health in the daily life of the population.

The RBC is ruled by Directive number 314, dated May 31, 2023 and its Bylaws both created by the Editorial Team and available for those who wish to have additional information.

From 2019 henceforward, beginning with volume 65, RBC adopted the continuous publication of articles. With this, it is not necessary to wait for the publication of a manuscript accepted and edited.

Its mission is to disseminate knowledge and stimulate the reflection and debate, supporting the scientific development of investigators, health professionals and students, fulfilling the commitment with the Brazilian population and strengthening the community of authors, reviewers and readers interested in the themes of cancer control across its multiple dimensions.

The aim is to publish and disclose manuscripts related to all the areas of cancer control in Portuguese, English and Spanish in the following modalities:

- Original Articles.

- Literature Review.

- Case Series/Reports.

- Opinion Articles.

- Short Reports.

- Reviews

- Letters to the Editor
