Retrospective analisis of 31 children with advanced solid tumors, submitted to treatment with strong chemotherapeutic agents (cisplatinum always included) showed significant weight loss in 15 cases. Complete nutritional evaluation with care ful screening of anthropometrical and biochemical parameters is recomended for early detection of nutritional deficit and subsequent correction of depletion.
