Hickmann Catheters InfectionsAbstract
Recent advances in the treatment of cancer patients makes it necessary to adapt central venous access to administration of drugs and to obtain blood samples for laboratory examinations. Hickmann catheters are studied in 29 patients (31 implantations) in order to evaluate infection rate. Resuits are compared with those of literature.
