Despite major achievements in the medical field, the survival rate of patients with breast cancer has not changed over the last 50 years. Certain treatments once taken as definitive are now being reviewed. This paper studies the therapeutic evolution of breast cancer and gives emphasis to new treatment modalities, particularly the conservative ones.
