They were studied 52 adults patients with malignant solid tumors who were submited to cancer chemotherapy. They were assembled into 4 groups: group 1 (n= 12) patients with previous radiotherapy; group II (n= 15) patients with neoplastic dissemination into serous; group III (n=6) - patients with bronchogenic carcinoma; group IV (n= 19) - patients with solid tumors not clasified into the other grqups. No patient had allergic or infectious disease or verminosis, or had taken no cirug which changes the absolute eosinophil count. The statistic analysis showed the absolute eosinophil count elevation after cancer chemotherapy particularly in group II. It is discussed the possible factors of the phenomenon and it was related to be dependent of tumor necrosis and/or immunologic factors.
