Abstract

Basing themselves on certain existing relations between cancer and diabetes, the authors attempted to combine in an adequate manner the beneficent action of phospholipids with that of insulin. The experimental results were surprisingly favourable for it could be stated that the growth of the transplanted Yoshida sarcoma was inhibited completely in not less than 60 per cent of the treated animais, whereas in the remaining 40 per cent the growth was reduced to less than half. Alloxan, although in a lesser degree, showed similar favourable results when combined with phospholipids.
