The SARS-CoV-2 virus and variants (Delta and Mu) will not be the last to provoke pandemics. To fight the new coronavirus species and SARS-CoV-2 variants, it will need to surge vaccination efforts, improve surveillance systems of animal reservoirs, use diagnostic efficiently and communicate consistently to health authorities. Cancer patients could develop new SARS-CoV-2 variants when full vaccination should be key to avoid such entanglement. The future of new pandemic around the world will depend on the development of the pan-coronavirus vaccines and the implementation of these measures across the globe.
