The authors emphasize as a contribuition to hemotherapy in aiding cancer treatment the need of a better indication for blood and its components administration in substituition of the former habit of indiscriminate use of whole blood. They also emphasize the great importance of employing white cells and platelet concentrations against major complications occuring in cancer treatment such as hemorrhage and infections.
