Comments on the second revision of the International Classification of Diseases for Oncology (ICD- 012) and Chapter II (neoplasms) of ICD-10

This study aims at making a comparison between the first and second versions of the International Classification ofDiseases for Oncology (JCD-O) and of the ninth and tenth reviews of the ICD -from which it derives - to identify the main changes made and to present comments about the procedures to be followed at the time of their application. In relation to the previous editions, the second revision of the lCD for Oncology (ICD-O/2) and the tenth revision of the ICD (ICD-10) present formal and content changes, allowing for a better speciflcation of the diseases and health problems. In order to make thorough use of them, one must get acquainted with its contents as well as adapting to the modifïcations introduced in it.
