A distinct type of malignant small ceil tumor has been described because of its peculiar intra-abdominal location as well as pelvic involvement. Some authors have designated the tumor as intra-abdominal desmoplastic small cell tumor with divergent differentiation (IADSC). These tumor display a very unique immunohistochemical profile with co-expresion of muscle, epithelial and neuroendocrine markers. The authors we reports a case of IADSC tumor in a 17 years old boy who presented abdominal tumor and all the morphological and immunohistochemical findings described in this entity. A review of literature is presented.
