Twenty-seven patients with malignant disease were studied. They all received ambulatory chemotherapy including cis-piatinum and showed great intensity of precocious toxicity syndrome (PTS) with other prophylatic treatments. They received: diazepan (5mg i. v.), prometazine (50 mg i.m.) and lower doses then those commonly reported of metoclopramíde (60mg1. v.) and dexamethasone (40mg 1. v.), as described in the text. We have concluded that this proposed schema is very useful for prophylatic control of several symptoms of PTS (and not only for nausea and vomiting), can be used as an outpatient basis, and has a minimal toxicity.
