Sincc March, 1943 polyvaccination has been employed bv the A. at the Serviço Nacional de Câncer do Brasil on advanced cancer cases. This paper is based on results from 1956 to 1961 using polyvaccination. A total ol 350 patients with cancer too advanced were submetted to polyvaccination. Regression ot' 10 cases (3%) were observed. Favorable results were obtained agains pain in 20% of tbe cases. The vaccines used mostly were TETAB, antismall pox, antiplague anticholera, antipneumonia, antigonorrhea, pyogenic infectins, Salk, BCG, staphylococ toxoid and diphteric pertussis toxoid alun. Improvement in the patients general condition, appetite and pain, were observed mostly wnth diphtberic pertussis toxoid alun. The A. believes tliat if cancer in general or it some its variaties has an infectous etiology there might be some kind of cross reactions between its agents and other infections. If such would be true individuals baving had infections would grow immunity towards cancer. He also believes thats polyvaccination may have a preventive action against câncer.
