Abstract

The glucose effect upon tyrosine transaminase is prevented if animais are preveously treated with 5FU. But if the same treatment is used after the administration of glucose; the repressive effect of this metabolite is unaffected. It is suggested that glucose actes by stabilising the mechanism responsible for the “repression” of the enzyme in question.
