Neuroadenólise Hipofisária: Alternativa Terapêutica para a Dor no Câncer Avançado

A injeção transnasal e transesfenoidal de álcool absoluto na hipófise tem sido realizado desde 1979 em nosso Serviço. Foram estudados 52 casos, nos quais realizamos 72 procedimentos. Os pacientes eram oriundos do Instituto Nacional de Câncer e do Hospital Adventista Silvestre. A remissão parcial ou total do quadro álgico foi possível em aproximadamente 80% dos pacientes.
