Esperanza para la Persona con Cáncer Avanzado en Cuidados Paliativos

La esperanza es un constructo multidimensional y multifacético entrelazado en el proceso de cuidar a las personas con cáncer. Es un estado emocional dinámico, adaptativo y esencial para la trascendencia. El objetivo de este estudio es reflexionar sobre la esperanza de las personas con cáncer avanzado en Cuidados Paliativos. La esperanza está determinada por diversos factores intrínsecos, funcionales, socioafectivos, psicoemocionales, terapéuticos, entre otros. Está anclada y potenciada por la espiritualidad, impulsando la trascendencia de la adversidad impuesta por la enfermedad progresiva y la búsqueda de sentido en la vida. Existe una relación positiva entre la esperanza y la calidad de vida relacionada con la salud, ya que es parte de un "mecanismo" dinámico estrechamente asociado al bienestar biopsicosocial-espiritual. Es importante reflexionar sobre el impacto de la esperanza en el cuidado de las personas con cáncer avanzado para una planificación holística fundamentada en la evaluación y promoción de la esperanza para ayudar a alcanzar el equilibrio.
