Uterine carcinosarcoma is a rare neoplasm with mixed stromal and sarcomatous components of the endometrium. Literature data shows the higher frequency of carcinosarcoma among irradiated women. Probably this reiationship is the expression of a stimulation action of radiotherapy in the development of uterine sarcomas. It is recommended that patients be followed for more than 20 years after irradiation to detect post-irradiation cancer. The present one is the case of a women treated for cervical cancer with radiotherapy 14 years ago; now she returns with a uterine carcinosarcoma.
