From 1976 to 1989, 46 patients with renal cell carcinoma were treated at the Urologic Service of the Oncologic Hospital Amaral Carvalho. These patients were analysed considering sex, age, race, involved, side, clinical staging and guidelines of therapy in these 13 years. A review of present therapy for these tumors is presented.
