Abstract

A spectrum of NK activity in our normal population was obtalned by performing 221 essays in 40 normal individuais (26 males and 14 females). These subjects were tested from once to 46 times. A pattern of NK activity was found foreach of the subjects that were more frequentiy tested, in spite ofthe great intraindividual variability found among them. No significant difference in NK activity could be seen hetween men and women and among the various age groups tested. Despite the relatively small numberpf subjects employed, our data are in agreement with those obtained from North-American populations. This coincidence may stem from the fact thatoursample was drawn from a homogeneous social-economic group, relatively well-off, where undernourishment is not a problem, even though it presented a mixed ethnical composition.
