In patients suffering from carcinoma of esophagus and stomach, Candida albicans, Bacteroides melaninogenicus and Peptostreptococcus were more commoly isolated. Sensibility of the microorganisms to antibiotics was studied. It was sbown tbat nearly 50% of bacterias isolated in post-operative infections were present during previous endoscopy.
