In nine cases of advanced tumors, na anticoagulant and antifibrinolytic therapy was assayed; in a first stage, using cytostatics and anticoagulants, we tried to avoid the formations of micrometastasis and tried to facilitate the penetration of chemotherapeutics in aiready formed metastasis, with the intention of destroying them. In a second stage, using only antifibrinolytics, we tried to avoid the growth of already formed metastasis. If this aim were attained, it could provide a good TUMOR-GUEST relation, made possible by a non-toxic agent. The results were enequal. That is why we believe that such research should be carried on until we can definitely establish the exact role of the coagulation and fibrinolisys mechanisms in the formation and behaviour of the metastatic disease.
