The authors bring out an incidence of cutaneous cancer, with an special attention to the basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma, in the Service of Dermatology of Instituto de Câncer de Londrina in the year of 1975. Of the 432 pacients who were attended, 144 showed cutaneous cancer, of which 86 had basal cell carcinoma, whereas 17 revealed squamous cell carcinoma. These pacients were distributed statistically into several topics (Such as: sex, marital status, age, cotour, profession and the local of the lesions). Through the high incidence of the cutaneous cancer in pacients with light skin who developed activities that demanded long periods of exposition in sun light and for the climatic conditions of our region, it was concluded that there must be a correlation among these- factors as it has already been reported by other authors.
