Abstract

Electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) include electronic cigarettes – the most common products – and heated tobacco cigarettes. Heated tobacco products are a re-emerging category of tobacco products. These products are promoted globally as "less harmful alternatives to conventional combustible cigarettes". Understanding these products based on solid scientific evidence is essential for the Public Health community, especially for those working in tobacco / nicotine control and cancer control.
