Introduction: Cervical cancer care involves health and development. Objective: The objective of this study was to analyze the interfaces among the clinic, the health economic and industrial complex, and the organization of the services at the Unified Health System level, through treatment and follow up of cervical cancer precursor lesions. Method: Exploratory research with descriptive imprint. Documental research techniques were used to identify the interface of cervical cancer within the economic and industrial health complex, and techniques of collection and quantitative analysis of secondary data from public domain information systems published on the internet were used to map the group of medical and hospital equipment industries. Results: There is a strong sector interdependency between the industrial section and the provision of services in relation to treatment and follow up of precursor lesions. It was observed that the Brazilian industry is strongly present in the medical and hospital equipment studied whose set of inputs and accessories are connected to operation and consequently favors the dependency relationship between buyer and supplier. Conclusion: The expansion of the actions related to cervical cancer care, in all levels of complexity, can push the industrial development as well as the national innovation strategy since each service provided corresponds to a good. On the other hand, a productive and technological dependency is established, which places a serious structural obstacle to the expansion of cervical cancer actions.
