Com base na experiência pessoal dos autores, são discutidos os aspectos peculiares dos diferentes tumores ginecológicos na criança. São abordados aspectos referentes à epidemiologia, diagnóstico, conduta terapêutica e prognóstico. É mostrada a relativa raridade do câncer ginecológico na faixa etária de zero a 14 anos, assim como a tendência atual de um tratamento cirúrgico mais conservador, com preservação das funções endócrina e reprodutora.
