Bone metastases: literature review

The authors summarize the most relevant historical aspects and current concepts on approach of patient with bone metastatic disease. They point out the importance of clinical issues and diagnostic evolution, taking a look of radiologic and cintigrafic studies and treatment options. The conclusion is that management of bone metastasis should be tailored to the patient overall prognosis and life expectancy.
