Breastfibrosarcoma - Case report

The authors report a case of breast fibrosarcoma in a 19-year-old-female patient, and how the case was managed. Literature review of various authors (Silva Neto and Pollard to name a two) is done. Besides physical examination and complementary exams, diagnosis is accurately given by Trucut needle biopsy and thin needle biopsy. In the case under study, excisional biopsy was performed. For differential diagnosis, malign angiomatous fibrohistiocytoma was considered. In order to diagnose the disease and set up a therapeutic plan, a immunohistochemical study was done. Therapeutics prescribed by different authors were compared, and the option was fora regular (simple) mastectomy. Breast fibrosarcoma is a rare tumor; therapeutics should be based on its biological behavior and histogenetic origin, including its way of dissemination. Thus, it to be stressed the importance of case report papers to be published
