A retrospective analysis of 21 patients with Wilms tumor from 1982 to 1986 showes a survival rate of 81% in five years. Persistence of disease ocurred always in the abdominal cavity. Precocious and adequate therapeutics makes this one a curable lesion in the great majority of cases.
