Mitomicina C e Vimblastina no Tratamento do Câncer de Mama Refratário

Eighty-three patients with advanced breast cancer refractory to standard chemotherapy were treated with Mitomychin C 10mg/m2 iv every 6 weeks and Vinblastine 6mg/m2 iv every 3 weeks. Ten (13.8%) of the 72 evaluable patients had complete response (3 patients) or partial response (7 patients), and 23 patients (31.9%) had stabilization of their disease. Moderate toxicity, mainly myelosuppression, neurologic and nausea, was observed. This combination seems to be useful in the treatment of refractory breast cancer, speçially in patients with good performance status.
