A review of 264 cases of Hodgkin's disease at the Department of Pathology of the UFRGS and at the Institute of Pathology of Porto Alegre reclassify them according to Rye. Statistical distribution and some epidemiological aspects of this disease in the State of Rio Grande do Sul have shown: mixed cellularity type was the most frequent, followed by nodular sclerosis type, lymphocytic depletion type and lymphocytic predominance type. The high incidence of the more agressive types of Hodgkin's disease in the young population was remarkable.
