Abstract

The author brings foward the most important facts regarding salivary tumor Parotid: 25 cases; Sub-maxillary gland 10 Sub-lingual: 4; Lip glands: 5; Palate glands: 1; After considering the histogenesis of the so-called mixed salivary tumors he describes the clinical and histological classifications in use now a days and studies the symptoms and clinical aspects. As a diagnostic means biopsy followed by frozen section during operation and aspiration biopsy are mentioned. Sialography is also recommencied as a valuable aid. Treatment is almost exclusively a surgical problem. 5 cases are presented which were treated surgically and are still well after a few years.
