Abstract

After discussing the present belief regarding solitary myeloma the authors admit it's existence, at least as to a clinical poit of view for one should not carry to far the possibility of the existence of small focuses of the disease wich could he discovered by microscopic examination of bone fragments throughout the body. Solitary myeloma should be admited considering the grouth of the tumor, the non existence of other bone lesions acknowledged by X rays and absence of symptoms peculiar to multiple myeloma. After considering certain facts as to the histological point of view, the authors end up reporting two cases of solitary myeloma at the National Cancer Service.
