The “RT-2030” document elaborated by the Brazilian Society of Radiotherapy describes a strategic plan for the development of radiotherapy in Brazil throughout the next decade. This report offers a critical assessment of the main guidelines and goals proposed in the plan, addressing important topics for the field, as well as the expected impacts in the clinical practice, technological innovation and professional training in the area, in addition to discussing the viability and challenges of executing the proposed strategies, offering a critical view over the implications for improving radiotherapy in Brazil.
