Resumen

Numerosos marcadores biológicos associados a tumor e detectados imunologicamente têm grande aplicabilidade no diagnóstico e monitorização do câncer. Os mais utilizados para a mama são os receptores esteróides e os antígenos de superfície relacionados com as células tumorais. Para que a avaliação hormonal seja mais apurada, sugere-se analisar os receptores de estrogénio e progesterona (ER e PgR). Já para a análise da eficácia terapêutica, sugere-se a monitorização com o antígeno carcinoembriônico (CEA).
