Cancer and its treatment can lead to clinical situations that require urgent therapeutic intervention, and treatment delay can result in death or permanent sequelae. Physicians on duty in general hospital emergency departments experience difficulty in managing cancer patients and their complications. This review aimed to help emergencycare physicians in their initial approach to some types of important and common structural oncological emergencies. The review specifically outlines the superior vena cava syndrome, spinal cord compression syndrome, and malignant intracranial hypertension.
