From 1946 up to this date, the Department of Pathology of the National Institute of Cancer (INCa) has worked out more than 150.000 histopathologic diagnosis. The pertaining data are registered in special books and include name, age and race of the patient, hospital number, unit number, date, site of the lesion and the histopathologic report. This paper presents the basic methodology used to feed the Computer for data storage and quick retrieval of informations.
