Abstract

The authors describe all steps of the surgical staging of lymphomas with the purpose of justifying the importance of each one of them. The realization of such surgery will not be justified if all steps aren't remembered and observed; also, the organization of a routine will be advisable, with the use of surgery-charts and special labels for containers to keep the surgical material, as well as an anatomo-pathological chart. Finally, they were able to conclude that the surgical staging of lymphoma is a work to be done by physicians, radiotherapists, surgeons as well as pathologists.
