Abstract

Childhood cancer is an important marker of the performance of health systems, given its complexity and dependence of timely diagnosis and continuous care. This editorial discusses the strategic role of CureAll Framework of the World Health Organization as a model to strengthen the health systems and reduce the inequalities in survival. In light of the recent evidences, including the special edition of The Lancet (2026), global advances and persistent challenges related to the equity of pediatric oncologic care are analyzed. Within the Brazilian context, the relaunching of CureAll Brasil and initiatives such as the project OncoBrasil that signalize the advances of the organization of the attention network in the National Health System (SUS) stand out. The editorial still emphasizes the importance of the cancer registers and of the information system as foundational elements to monitor survival and formulation of evidence-based public policies. CureAll Brasil represents a strategic agenda to strengthen SUS and to promote equity in childhood cancer healthcare.
