Tumores Malignos da Vesícula Biliar. Revisão da Literatura e Análise de 10 Anos no Instituto Nacional de Câncer do Rio de Janeiro

Foram analisados 19 casos de neoplasias malignas primárias da vesícula biliar, que passaram pela seção de cirurgia abdomino pélvica do Instituto Nacional de Câncer no período de 1962 a 1972. O tipo histológico mais comum foi o adenocarcinoma, afetando, principalmente, pacientes do sexo feminino, numa faixa etária entre 50 e 70 anos. Observamos colelitíase associada em 10 casos. As metástases ocorreram com maior freqüência para o cólon. Os melhores resultados foram obtidos em casos de tumor inicial, restrito ao órgão. O cálculo da sobrevida foi prejudicado, uma vez que em 12 pacientes perdeu-se o follow-up. Por ser uma doença de difícil diagnóstico, concluímos que o futuro do tratamento está no progresso dos protocolos quimioterápicos e dos métodos propedêuticos visando diagnóstico precoce, onde a cirurgia obtém os melhores resultados.
